Brainchild

A terrible deed was done in La Paloma, up in the California hills, a hundred years before Alex Lonsdale's car accident. Now a brilliant doctor has brought Alex back from the brink of death, and he seems the same, apart from a blankness in the eyes. Bantam published it as a paperback original in August 1985; Hiram Richardson painted the cover.
