E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial in His Adventure on Earth

In Kotzwinkle's telling the visitor is an Old Botanist, accidentally left behind on Earth, hunted and alone until a ten-year-old boy finds him and takes him home. The novel works from Melissa Mathison's screenplay for Steven Spielberg's film. Berkley published it in June 1982, and this copy comes from the fourth printing, dated that same June: the book was going back to press before the month was out.
