The Veils of Azlaroc

Whoever is on the surface of Azlaroc when the year's veil of pure energy falls is sealed into that year's time "pocket", close to ageless. The price is company: settlers from fifty years earlier can walk straight through you. Part of the novel appeared in Science Fiction Discoveries in 1976; Ace published the whole in October 1978, under Dean Ellis's cover.
