Brave New World
Aldous Huxley
Penguin Books
poor
Huxley's future, some thousands of years off, runs on test-tube babies and "feelies". He wrote it in the thirties as a warning against the optimism of the day, and Chatto & Windus published it in 1932; a foreword followed in 1950. This copy's back cover, printed in the early sixties, already found that world uncomfortably close.
