The Carnelian Cube
L. Sprague de Camp & Fletcher Pratt
Lancer Books · 1967
1960s · good
Rationality is all Arthur Cleveland Finch asks of the world he wishes himself into, by way of a carnelian cube he doesn't believe in. He wakes a poet in a place where reciting verse in public can be tried as umpteen kinds of crime, and each later wish lands somewhere stranger. De Camp wrote it with Fletcher Pratt; Gnome Press published it in 1948.
