The Hand of Zei

Nothing caught in the Sunqar, a floating continent of sea vine on the planet Krishna, can escape it, Dirk Barnvelt has just written. He then finds himself in the middle of it, with a mission unfinished and his own sentence to disprove. Astounding had the novel in 1950 and de Camp revised it in 1963; Ace's edition carries a Paul Alexander cover.
