The Moon Is Hell

John W. Campbell wrote the first men on the Moon before anyone went, and Ace's back cover, printed after the American space program had gone, sells it as the landing as it might have been. Campbell edited Astounding and brought Asimov, Heinlein and Sturgeon into the field. Fantasy Press published the novel in 1951; this volume adds "The Elder Gods", a fantasy from his magazine Unknown.
