The Guide has, it admits, a great deal to say about parallel universes, very little of it comprehensible below the level of Advanced God. The gods themselves arrived three millionths of a second after the Universe began rather than the week before, and are not available for comment. Heinemann published this fifth part in hardcover in 1992; this is Pan's paperback of 1993, second printing.
