Tom Swift, 1981 series (3 volumes)

Wanderer opened its 1981 Tom Swift series with these three books, which take Tom out to Jupiter and back. Sabotage on the Daniel Boone's launch engine leads him to New America, an orbiting colony, and Anita Thorwald and Benjamin Franklin Walking Eagle. The ship carries them to Jupiter's moons, a madman and a plague, and Tom builds a robot, Aristotle. The third brings home a probe found on Jupiter and loses it to a thief. Becky Tachna designed all three covers; Mark Sullivan painted two, Alex Machin the last.
